Sweet Potato & Pear Spiced Muffins

This week's new recipe is these sweet potato and pear spiced muffins. They are grain, dairy, and refined sugar-free, and also super delicious! Almost like a cross between a carrot cake and bananna cake. Yum! I made two batches of them this week and we've already eaten them all - well, mainly my husband Mike. ☺

You can enjoy the muffins as they are, or top with a dollop of thick coconut or Greek yoghurt, some crushed walnuts, pure maple syrup, and fresh oregano leaves.

Smokey Warm Potato Salad with Crispy Quinoa

This new smokey warm potato salad recipe was inspired by a recent trip to Lima, Peru where I was lucky enough to experience Lima’s amazing food and culture. In this recipe, I thought I would highlight a variety of potatoes and quinoa - a few of my favourite savoury Peruvian ingredients! I’ve used a mix of nicola and kipfler white potatoes, yellow sweet potatoes, and purple potatoes, but feel free to use a mix of your favourite.

Cacao & Custard Apple Smoothie Bowl with Cacao Quinoa Granola

This new smoothie bowl and granola recipe was inspired by a recent trip to Lima, Peru where I was lucky enough to experience Lima’s amazing food and culture. I thought I would highlight some of my favourite Peruvian ingredients; cacao, quinoa, maca, and custard apple (cherimoya). If you don’t have access to custard apple you can use pineapple instead - it’s just as delicious!
